Abstract

With a history in graphic design and product development, combined with an academic foundation in cognitive science, I specialize in research-driven product strategy. My emphasis of interaction design fused with a passion for behavioral neuroscience allows me to transform how humans interact with technology, ensuring precision and purpose in every digital/physical touchpoint. In my current role, I collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to unify user experiences, enhance customer support methods, and optimize product heuristics that intuitively drive the mission forward.

Visual Designer

Hybrid in San Diego, CA: BlueHalo Labs, RF C-UAS Products

As the HMI/Branding stakeholder for RF-CUAS sister companies, I align design efforts with the Titan CUAS™ system to unify and productize BlueHalo's labs sector. I assist in developing new products like Titan 4, Titan Max+, and Titan SV while designing the out-of-box experience, including product packaging, case and foam layouts, labels, and headless panel LED interactions. My role involves creating, compositing, and curating user materials across five products, such as user guides, slick sheets, quick start cards, inventory labels, specification documents, and business development assets. I generate 3D renderings of future products using CAD modeling software and produce corporate collateral like logos and product graphics. Additionally, I conduct in-field UI/UX audits, review product feature designs, and create UI design kits incorporating icons, color profiles, asset libraries, and typography systems. I also contribute to the hiring process by interviewing design interns and product design candidates.

Marketing Manager

I managed social media for two platinum-status locations, ran and maintained ads across all accounts, and drove a 67% increase in unique print sales, such as outdoor banners, while boosting top-selling services like Summer Storage and posters by 26-29%. I coordinated large print order sales, delegated marketing needs through corporate marketing communication, and handled post-production duties, including follow-up calls and CRM management. Additionally, I photographed employees, products, services, and the store to enhance marketing efforts.

Social Media Intern

I conceptualized, designed, financed, procured, developed, and marketed two new products: Custom Same-Day Shirts and Resident Hall Merch. Additionally, I collaborated on brand strategy with management for new stores and affiliates of San Diego State University. My responsibilities included designing signs, banner advertisements, and infographics while also driving engagement through giveaways, competitions, and coupons.

Sublimation Technician & Trainer

I maintained daily production records and kept management informed of production incidents, non-conformance issues, and hold-ups. I was responsible for counting and performing quality assurance on the work of over 50 employees to determine their hourly rate. Additionally, I served as the sole trainer for dozens of incoming new hires, organizing training materials and setting up classrooms for multiple departments.

Embroidery Specialist

I designed, applied, and touched up logos on various materials and apparel.

Sales Representative

I gave demos, coordinated events, and leveraged my understanding of formulaic sales cycles to overcome objections and secure sales with hesitant customers. I educated people on healthy lifestyle changes, environmental preservation, and the modern food system while selling farm-fresh organics to prospects at trade shows and markets.

Print & Graphics Associate

I created graphics or used customer-provided ones for print invoices, ensuring they were properly prepared. I also refined my skills in binding, folding, laminating, trimming, scoring, perforating, packaging, faxing, and scanning. Additionally, I received an official commission to become a California Notary Public.

Design Intern

I developed brand guides outlining fonts, colors, and graphic/photo assets to align with BlueHalo's new corporate branding following the acquisition of Citadel Defense Company. In addition, I completely refreshed all user materials to reflect a new visual identity, ensuring they were print-ready at scale. My work extended to designing the newsletter, API literature, and contributing to UI development. I also collaborated closely with Business Development and Marketing Communications representatives to create use cases and marketing materials.
